Marc Danner

PRINCIPAL

Marc Danner is the principal of Sweetwater Community School where he strives to support faculty and staff as well as promote student success throughout the school year. He also currently oversees the night school program, as well as the PVOnline program within the district. 

Prior to his principalship, and after receiving his B.A. in Special Education in 2004, he began his career with PVSchools as a middle school teacher at Roadrunner School. While teaching for Roadrunner, he completed his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership at NAU. In 2008 he returned to Indian Bend Elementary to become both a Teacher on Assignment and Literacy Coach. He then found his way to Shadow Mountain High School as the Special Education IDL and Dean of Students. Finally, after spending four years as the assistant principal of Greenway Middle School, he finds himself at the helm of Sweetwater Community School. 

Marc has participated in various trainings throughout the years, including BoysTown, AVID, RTI, Facilitated Leadership, and Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). 

Gary Callahan

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL HIGH SCHOOL

Gary Callahan is the Assistant Principal at Sweetwater Community School.  His responsibilities include campus safety and supervision, student discipline, staff evaluations, and oversight of the facility.  

Prior to being named AP at Sweetwater, Gary was the Assistant Principal from 2005 - 2022 at Vista Verde Middle School in PVSchools.  From 1997 - 2005, he taught Social Studies, Math, and Physical Education at Desert Shadows Middle School where he also coached football and basketball, and was the school's Athletic Director.  

Gary is a product of Paradise Valley Schools graduating from Desert Shadows Middle School ('79) and Horizon High School ('83).  He obtained a BS degree in General Business from Arizona State University ('87) and a Masters in Education Leadership from Northern Arizona University ('03).
